Our Mission

A Common Bond Guild is a non-profit guild affiliated with Seattle Children’s Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Our mission is to provide comfort, support, and hope to families with critically ill babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). These babies have been diagnosed with life-threatening or terminal illnesses, and face extended, unexpected hospital stays. Some never go home.

Founded by parents who have shared the NICU experience, A Common Bond Guild now reaches out to families by providing comforting care bags. Our tote bags contain soft blankets and slippers for parents, luxury toiletries, peaceful lullaby CD’s, USB Flashdrives/Memory Sticks, pre-paid calling cards, blank journals, postage stamps and stationary, travel Kleenex, IV and respirator-friendly baby outfits, gift certificates to restaurants near the hospital, and much more.
